2016 Auckland WheelStarz Invitational

Yesterday our junior wheelchair basketball club hosted the annual Auckland WheelStarz Invitational. It was a fantastic day with 4 amazing teams competing for the trophy. My team - Auckland WheelStarz Blue - went undefeated in all the games and won the tournament! I play the position of guard so spend most of my time defending, blocking the opposition from opportunities to shoot and I help open up space for our key shooters. Wheelchair Basketball is an amazing sport and while all of the players have different disabilities we are all on an even playing field once we are in the chairs.
